Squeeze down your profile
English copywriter Mike Druttman explains why a prepared profile of 50 to 400 words is so useful in business.
Many of my clients ask for a set of ‘boilerplate’ texts (400, 200, 100 + 50 word versions) about their activities. ‘Boilerplate’ means a prepared text that’s available to use in any situation.
For example, at the end of an article, use a 50-word company description. On your Facebook page perhaps use the 100-word profile. And so on. That’s what a skilled copywriter does. He finds the key points, cuts out the excess details, and keeps all texts tight and interesting.
Here’s one way to squeeze text down:…‘Connex comprises a group of companies that are active in the field of computers and are working in businesslike cooperation.’ (20 words)…becomes… ‘Companies in the Connex Group work closely together in the computer field’. (12 words).
If you need a set of boilerplate texts, I’ll help you to prepare them.

Where to use? The 50-word version to close your article. The 100-word version for your Facebook page. As your copywriter, I find the key points, remove the excess and make it all tight and interesting.
