Acres of private garden with a stream and ponds give you the feeling of a small paradise. Here is where you really sense the beauty of Pound Barn and the South Devon hills.
Haven of tranquility: Stretching over three acres, this garden is a haven of tranquility with ample space to wander and explore. It offers an ever changing palate of colours through the seasons and there's always something to capture your attention - whether it's primroses around the stream in spring or swallows and butterflies in summer.
As you walk up the hill through the avenue of trees planted at the start of the millennium, you’ll see foxgloves and bluebells in May. Half way up the garden is the shed where you can play table tennis. When you reach the top of the hill, you're rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding South Devon countryside and the River Dart.
Seasonal joys: The autumn brings a feast of rosehips, apples of different varieties and plums. Even the winter has its attractions and although we cannot guarantee the weather, there are plenty of soft, dry days when the Aga welcomes you back after a brisk walk.
At the front of the cottage, a gravel pathway can accommodate four cars. To one side is the long raised flower bed with its changing colour scheme throughout the year that greets you every time you approach Pound Barn.
